Dark Colored Denim Blue Jeans are allowed for all girls effective 2020-2021.  Simple pocket stitching is allowed that does not make wording or picture.  No holes or embellishments, sequins, or beading.  No low rise (where undergarments or body parts are visible when bending, reaching, etc).  No baggy or “skinny” jeans, carpenter, or cargo styles allowed.  Stretch jean material or “jeggings” are not accepted in school.

Additional Pre-K Dress Code Notes:

• This uniform is worn by Pre-K students Monday-Friday. There is not a Class A dress uniform at this grade level.
• Visible brand names or logos should not be present.

Girls and Boys, Pre-K – 8^th Grade

• St. Philip Spirit Shirts. These are only the shirts that have been sold during the current year and previous years through the SPS Booster Club or PTC. 
• School approved jeans (see definitions in Class B section)

Girls and Boys, Pre-K – 8^th Grade

• Shirttails must be tucked in at all times.
• Boys hair must not extend past the ears or the collar.
• Boys must be clean shaven, if applicable.
• Piercings are not allowed on male students.
• Appropriateness of distractible accessories will be determined by the Principal.
• Hard sole boots and shoes are discouraged and will not be allowed in the gymnasium.
• Boots, when worn, must be soft soled. Jeans must be worn over the boot, not tucked in.
• Warm lined boots may be worn with the following restrictions: a.) May only be worn in cold weather conditions when temperature determines a need. b.) Boots must be soft soled. c.) Jeans must be worn over the boots, NOT tucked in. d.) Boots may not be worn on a P.E. day.
• FREE DRESS DAYS may be designated by the Principal. These days may be school picture days and/or related to student rewards. Students are expected to dress in accord with school, church, and community standards on these days. Flip flops or Crocs shoes; frayed or cut-off hemlines on shorts; and sleeveless/strapless shirts are never allowed.
• Players may wear uniform shirts with Class B bottoms on games days.
• The official “PIONEER” sweatshirt may be worn on cold days. These may be hooded, pullover sweatshirts or zip up and are royal blue with the pioneer team name on the front, optional student name and athletic number on back, and approved event participation insignia on either sleeve. The only approved vendors are The Screen Stop in El Campo and Custom Creations in Wharton. Using font of choice is not permitted.
• Students who do not follow the uniform policy or free dress policy, when applicable, will be asked to change clothes or, at the discretion of the principal, be sent home.
• The Principal’s decisions regarding student dress are final.
