St. Philip Catholic School is pleased to offer Group Piano Lessons for Grades 3-8, Guitar Lessons for Grades 4-8, and Bass Guitar Lessons for Grades 6-8.  Lessons are conducted from September through May.  These lessons will consist of a 45 minute lesson once a week under the direction of Mrs. Janice Cox.  Enrollment in this program is for the full year.  You child will be scheduled so he/she will not be pulled out of an academic subject.  If classes fill, you will be placed on a waiting list for this class.
  
Piano Supplies:  You must have your own keyboard or piano at home for practice.  The keyboard must have 61 or more keys to qualify.  A 3 ring binder and 2 pencils are required.
  
Guitar Supplies:  You must have your own guitar (steel or nylon strings are fine), strap, 1 extra set of strings, guitar tuner, capo, a 3 ring binder, and at least 2 picks (Thumb picks are preferred.  A thumb pick fits over the thumb nail but not over the knuckle.  Collins Music Center will help you with this.)
  
Cost for Group Lessons:  The cost of lessons is $350.00 per school year.  The cost of books is included.  This amount may be paid in full or via monthly direct debit.
  
Keys for Success: 

• Practice for at least 30 minutes per day, especially the day prior to the lesson and the evening following the lesson. 
• Bring all material to the lesson.
